The appliances in the house use electricity in the same way for both solar generated energy and energy received from the mains system. Appliances like fridges and freezers require 24hour energy input, and others like light bulbs are mainly used at night. A solar-powered house will provide electricity at these times like any other system would even without the sun. In conclusion, this is why all of the different parts which make up the system play an important role in allowing solar power to work properly.
